Proposal Writing

Pakistan Partnership Initiative (PPI) & REEDS jointly organized a three-day workshop of PPI Partners on “ Proposal Writing” in Multan from 9-11 November 2023. A total of 30 staff members from 18 partner organizations (AG Peshwar AGAPE Trust, KCDA, MDTA, Human United Foundation, Hayat-e-Nau, Light for Nation Trust, Dar-ul-Amal Welfare Organization, PPI, Desert Care Challenge, NCJP, REEDS, NOAD, Eman Foundation, Human Empowerment Organization, FBCP, Handicapped Children Rehabilitation, CARE Foundation, Adara Samaji Behbood) from four provinces (KP, Punjab, Sindh & Baluchistan) participated in the workshop. The day was opened with worship and prayer. The thought of the day was shared by The Rt. Rev. Leo Rodrick Paul, Bishop of Multan, following and Ms. Zara Nayab from PPI was the worship leader.

The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Khalid Saifullah. On day one of the workshop participants were trained on the followings:

  • Key features of the proposal writing process.
  • Brainstorming – participants identified their expertise, skills, and unique selling points, and prioritized thematic areas.
  • The participants worked in 06 groups, identified and mapped donor organizations.
  • Facilitator shared the mapping template.
  • The participants worked in 6 groups and prepared an action plan to prepare the project proposal over the next two days.
  • Listing of frequently used words (FUWs).
  • Dr. Saboor shared how technically proposals are marked and evaluated by the jurors.
  • The groups worked on subjective and objective approaches to analyse the problem through a problem tree template.
  • Overall, the training helped the participants to advance their skill of proposal writing by using the right technique and jargon to tap the untapped resources.
